Nightwalker

The city is strangely quiet. The sirens silent. The drops of rain create a catchy beat as they hit my umbrella.  I imagine throwing my keys and bag down in the front hall, slipping off my shoes, and pouring a glass of wine. I will tuck my feet around me as I curl up on the sofa, wine in hand, and watch, mesmerized, as the drops of rain roll down the window back to the earth.
